These are the options the car came with. I am adding Power Disc Brakes and the Ralleye
Suspension (the car is scary to drive with manual front drums). I will keep the original
parts. The car currently has 53,000 original miles.
I bought the car in 1980 and am the 3rd owner. I have a letter from Helen Earley at
Oldsmobile that states 77 Hardtops and 66 Convertibles were made with the 455/4-speed
combo. The car had the original engine when I bought it but was modified with period speed
equipment. It also had American Racing rims and Borg Warner T-10 tranny. I have a
correct M-20 for it and
most of the parts to restore it correctly. The body is currently off the frame as it is
undergoing a full restoration. The body is in geat shape, and the frame and undersides are
complete (pics below). The engine will be rebuilt. I am shooting for a Summer '05
completion date.
